Inert Gases are a gas of the air, which has the capacity to be able to treat a fire hazard in open spaces. It is an inert gas, non-conductive, colourless, odourless and flavourless. Are non-corrosive, which can be used at normal temperatures with such materials as nickel, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze and plastics. Perfect dielectric and appropriate for the protection of all the electric and electronic materials.
Discharge is through valves approved by the most renowned independent organizations. They offer a great flexible adaptability for all actuation and release systems currently used in the market, even allowing combinations of several of them.
The design of the system protects against accidental actuation due to any small leak. They also allow checking and maintenance of all critical elements contained in a fixed extinguishing system, at the time of commissioning and later for system preventive maintenance, thus preventing the risk of accidental discharge. As a general rule, extinguishing concentration is achieved when oxygen contents in the air is reduced from its normal level of 20.9% to values between 12% – 15% depending on the combustible products.

The Inert Gases are stored in high-pressure cylinders in the form of compressed gas, thus space required for such cylinder storage depends on pressure and capacity.
Synthetic (Clean Agent) Gases
HFC227ea (FM 200) extinguishing agent is a clean gas widely accepted as substitute to Halon. HFC227ea (FM 200), or heptafluoropropane, is suitable for the protection of most hazards where Halon 1301 had to be applied In the past. Because it is not electrical conductive, [but it is odourless and colourless) it is effective in the protection of electrical hazards, such as computer rooms.
FK-5-1-12 extinguishing agent like HFC227ea is a clean gas widely accepted as substitute to Halon. FK-5-1-12, or Perfluoro(2-methyl-3-pentanone), is suitable for the protection of most hazards where Halon 1301 had to be applied in the past. Because FK-5-1-12 is not electrical conductive, (but it is odourless and colourless), it is effective in the protection of electrical hazards, such as computer rooms.
Further more, it is suitable for class A fires (fires including solid materials) as well as for class B fires (flammable liquids).
HFC-125 is physically similar to Halon 1301, thus it is an excellent and efficient alternative with the advantage that it does not deplete the ozone layer. It is suitable for use as extinguishing agent in total flooding systems in occupied areas for the protection of property such as: computers, archives, electrical equipment and telecommunication equipment, among others.
